Why MaeWest? During World War II, military men nicknamed their life jackets a ‘Mae West’ (for a popular actress of the time). ‘Mae West’ came to mean a “second chance at life, “ a “new beginning.” For us, MaeWest represents a chance for new beginnings in spaces and places that are a blank slate, lifeless or in need of rejuvenating. We believe in creating new homes, renovating the once old, and bringing the outside and inside together to create new beginnings for our clients to enjoy for years to come with family and friends.

MaeWest Construction is a trusted, award winning, and fully licensed general contractor building company in South Carolina. With a combined 60+ years of experience in the construction industry, the team brings wisdom, experience and expertise that has been earned over decades of building homes, renovating, and designing on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina; Atlanta and the surrounding areas of Georgia; and Myrtle Beach and the surrounding areas of the Grand Strand of South Carolina.
